Polly Logan, a Macallan whisky maker, has travelled to Spain on a deep flavour tour to discover a whole new world of cocoa.

This unique blend gets its name from the Scottish slang for a muscular strain suffered by malt men during the days when whisky was still made by hand. Dewar’s 8 Years Ilegal Smooth Mezcal Cask is a brand new to world product from Dewar’s, bringing together the classic honeyed and fruity house style of the Dewar’s blend and adding this truly unique layer of flavour by finishing the blend in Ilegal Mezcal casks; giving it surprising notes of sliced green pepper and a long wisp of smoke finish.

Dewar’s 8 Years Japanese Smooth Mizunara Cask. Scotch whiskey maker Dewar has announced the launch of ‘Japanese Smooth,’ an 8-year-old blended whiskey that will be added to the brand’s premium Cask Series.

Dewar’s 8 Portuguese Smooth Port Cask Finish is the third release in the brand’s double-aged blended Scotch whisky cask-finished series. The blend is aged for 8 years and is finished in casks that previously held ruby port wine. 3rd limited release of the innovative Dewar’s Scotch Whisky Cask Series.

Dewar’s 8 Year Old Caribbean Smooth Rum Cask Finish Blended Scotch Whisky is an exciting new blend and the first in an innovative cask series from the iconic whisky maker.

The Tomatin 14-Year-Old is soft, smooth and sweet, benefiting from its time spent in Tawny Port casks which previously held port for around 50 years. Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey and rich toffee develop into aspects of light fruits and nuts on the palate and an abiding finish of smooth fruit salad.

This 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky amplifies The Singleton’s signature richness, in a harmony of rich fruits and silky toffee notes forged by our Trinity Harmony Philosophy. Three different cask styles have been united to create a Single Malt even greater than the sum of its parts.

• Colour: Barley straw.
• Aroma: Aromas of malt sugar and gentle peat smoke lead you into the dram. Layers of fresh green fruit come next followed by rose, geranium, apricot, and eucalyptus. Marzipan, ginger nut biscuits, and honeyed melon can also come through, with the malty fruity character coming to the fore with a little time.

TASTING NOTES:

• Colour: Burnt orange
• Aroma: Highly aromatic, this dram opens with a nutty, salty smoke with milk chocolate and leathery tobacco. The Oloroso casks have shaped this whisky with a rich syrupy orange and grapefruit citrus, along with hints of clove and cinnamon with walnut and praline.

• Colour: Golden Hebridean sands
• Aroma: Initial impressions are of sweet nutty smoke, loaded with barley sugar and ripe fruit. Syrupy apricot and ripe pear along with malty vanilla notes of barley flour and Crème Brulee, honey and tablet. The American oak brings coconut, almonds and charred oak.

Every batch is individually numbered and carefully watched over. Each has extraordinary consistency and character from an intense marrying period, and a warming, distinguished finish.
