Rich in tradition and rooted in nobility, Placido is a nod to the heritage and legacy of Count Placido. A 13th century Tuscan nobleman, Placido dei Placidi was the hero of the epic “Battle of Montaperti” between Florence and Siena. For his valor, he was awarded a vast estate where winemaking soon became an important part of the culture. The passion he developed for wine and food remains the inspiration for Placido today.

TASTING NOTES
Aroma: Intense bouquet with fragrant floral notes, especially violets and red fruits. Red berry aromas (such as black cherry and plum) often come through in good examples.
Palate: Dry and well-balanced, typical of Chianti’s medium-bodied style. Black fruit flavors (blackcurrant, darker cherries) with a fresh acidity and moderate tannins build a pleasant structure.
Finish: Long, lingering finish with fruit and gentle spice — making it easy to sip and pair.
