Indri-Trini Triple Wood Indian Single Malt Whisky is a unique expression from India’s Piccadily Distilleries, crafted in the village of Indri in Haryana. It’s notable for being one of India’s first triple cask-matured single malts, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, French wine, and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks. Each cask type contributes distinct characteristics: the bourbon casks add notes of vanilla and honey, the French wine casks lend subtle fruit and spice, and the PX sherry casks bring sweetness and dried fruit richness. The whisky is made using native six-row malted barley grown in Rajasthan, and it is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring—features appreciated by whisky purists.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Gentle and mellow on the nose. Hints of black tea, caramelised pineapple with a whiff of oak comes forward, followed by vanilla and honey from the bourbon oak and traces of spiced tannins from the European oak, finally topped up with vinous raisin and sweet sherry notes.

Palate: Elegant richness, smooth and warm on the sides of the mouth. Gentle spice and woody characteristics.

Finish: A subtle and balanced finish, each flavour compliments the other without dominating each other. A smooth and long aftertaste with sweet fruity flavours coming up from the warmth of the throat, lingering long after.
