GLENFIDDICH 21 Year Old Gran Reserva Rum Cask Finish. Glenfiddich resurrects the lost tradition of maturing whisky in rum casks with this Glenfiddich 21 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky. Rum distillers from Sancti Spiritus, near the Sierra del Escambray in the heart of Cuba, worked to develop this unique Cuban rum finish. Casks of Cuban rum are decanted at the distillery in Scotland and then filled with 21 Year Old Glenfiddich to absorb the unique character lingering in the wood. The result is the unmistakable Glenfiddich flavour revealed through a new and vibrant overtone.

TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Vibrant aromas of ripe bananas, figs, and toffee are layered with hints of leather, oak, and a subtle touch of spicy ginger. There’s also a tropical fruit sweetness from the rum cask finish, with notes of pineapple and citrus zest.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of caramelized brown sugar, dried fruits like raisins and sultanas, and a touch of spice. The rum cask influence adds layers of rich molasses, vanilla, and a burst of tropical fruit flavors, giving the whisky a lively yet refined character.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of toffee, oak, and a delicate sweetness from the tropical fruits, balanced by a hint of spice and gentle smokiness.
