The château is located north of the small town of Listrac-Médoc, several kilometers southwest of Saint-Julien and a similar distance northwest of Margaux. The estate covers around 46 hectares and rests on predominantly classic Médoc gravelly soil with a clay and limestone subsoil. The vineyard itself is composed of roughly equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, mixed with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines are on average over 30 years old.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep garnet-purple, vibrant and youthful in the glass.
Aroma: Enticing aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and currants, with nuances of dried herbs, tobacco leaf, and a hint of vanilla, creating a complex and inviting bouquet.
Palate: Presents a refined palate with medium-bodied richness, featuring dark fruit flavours such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of spice, tobacco, and a touch of cedar, with well-integrated tannins providing structure.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with smooth tannins and a lingering finish marked by dark fruit, spice, and a touch of oak.
