Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur. In addition, we make Umeshu from ume fruit. Its taste is sweet and tart with notes of almond. Umeshu is a perfect balance between ume extract and alcohol is achieved by aging the whole fruit, with the stone still inside.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Rich, fruity nose with plum jam and hints of rose petal jelly, musty molasses and hints of spice.
Palate: Creamy, caramel-like delivery. plums in syrup, dried peels, molasses and spice. royal jelly.
Finish: Very fruity, long finish. prunes and black forest honey.
