Kunizakari Rose Umeshu is a floral-style Japanese plum liqueur that combines traditional ume fruit with rose extract, creating a sweeter and more perfumed profile than classic umeshu.
Tasting notes
Appearance: blush pink with rose-gold highlights
Nose: fresh rose petals, ripe ume plum, honey, lychee, and light floral perfume
Palate: silky and sweet with plum nectar, candied rose, soft berry-like fruitiness, and gentle acidity
Texture: smooth, lightly syrupy, easy-drinking
Finish: fragrant and lingering with floral sweetness and delicate tart plum notes
Compared with traditional umeshu: it is more floral and aromatic, less almond/marzipan-driven, and softer in acidity. Classic umeshu often shows tangy stone-fruit and marzipan notes from ume steeped in shochu.
