Palate: Concentrated dark fruit flavors — dark cherry, plum, raspberry with fresh berry nuance on some vintages. Balanced by oak spice and earthy elements — cedar, tobacco and sometimes graphite or leather undertones.
Finish: Long and persistent, with roasted coffee or cocoa notes and spice linger. Some vintages show evolving tertiary characteristics with age — leathery, earthy nuances in mature bottles.
